Kritharas

Before reaching Achladia and Livadaki, we will pass by the abandoned village of Kritharas, where the only post-Byzantine cross-in-square church of Agios Georgios, dated back to the mid-19th century, is still preserved. The roof of the church has collapsed and the church is smothered by dense vegetation, but what gives a special value to the monument is the lintel of the west entrance with its exquisite stone carvings and the fact that part of its frescoes are preserved.
