At the 6th km of the route from Potamoi to Mikromilia, the paved rural road intersects with a decent dirt road to the north. This road winds down initially through forests of oak trees and beech trees and, after 9 km, cottonwood trees with impressively straight white trunks come into view. 3 km further down, there is a left junction that leads, according to signage, to the forest construction site of Karyotis at the area of Magoula, where the unique Birch tree forest opens out. The first cattle farm producing organic beef also operates in Mikromilia.
