Another event that takes place in Pagoneri is the Walnut Festival, held every year on the first weekend of October; an event that includes a 10 km road race and speeches by experts on walnuts and walnut trees. There are also Cultural Associations participating that perform folk dances and then a traditional feast takes place. Along with the events, you will have the opportunity to taste local walnut dishes made by the women of the village.
