Among the many chapels in the mountains around the village, in a prominent position, lies the chapel of Agios Panteleimon (St. Pantaleon). Every year on July 27, the Municipality and the associations of the area organize “AKRITIA”, a festival in honor of the Saint with various cultural and sports events and activities. It is the key reference point for the events held by the Municipality, which has a reputation that goes beyond its boundaries and gives a chance for the people of Nevrokopi from all over to get together.
